Good Luck Stamkos!

The day finally came. Steven Stamkos is no longer a part of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He’s heading to Nashville, and good for him! We won two Stanley Cups with him as captain, and we wish he could stay forever, but GO GET PAID! He’ll be a Bolt forever.

Stamkos is signing a four-year, $32 million contract to join the Nashville Predators, according to The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun.

Stamkos has been with the Lightning since he became the No. 1 overall pick at the 2008 NHL Draft.

There were signs that a return to Tampa wasn’t happening. After last minute talks over the past weeks failed Stamkos’ agent announced he will hit the free agent market.

On the bright side, the Bolts signed Jake Guentzel from the Carolina Hurricanes. Guentzel, a highly-coveted unrestricted free agent, is younger than Stamkos and has scored at least 30 goals in each of the last three seasons.
