Celebrity for the Wrong Reasons

Why Do We Amplify These People?

I’m not a “Hawk Tua” hater. Hailey Welch seems like a nice enough young lady. She went viral for her spitting preferences, which is nothing to be mad at. She also used her newfound fame to raise money for charity. In interviews and podcasts, she comes off as charming and humble.

THIS LADY, however, is gaining notoriety because she allegedly drove while intoxicated and hit on the officer who pulled her over. TMZ just did a piece on her, amplifying her story to the nation. She compared herself to the aforementioned Ms. Welch.

Is it OK or NOT OK to turn a drunk driver into a celebrity for acting inappropriately with a police officer?

Also, am I any better for posting this story? Probably not.
