LAS VEGAS — A part-time resident of Las Vegas had plenty to celebrate this Christmas.
The man, identified only as Kevin, turned a $40 investment into a jackpot of nearly $15.5 million at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino on Thursday, KNRV reported.
Kevin scored his big payday on an IGT Megabucks slot machine, the television station reported.

Kevin splits time between Las Vegas and Alaska and did not expect to be in Nevada during Christmas week, but was held over due to business, according to KNRV.
He decided to stop at the Suncoast, and it was a lucrative move. At 12:30 p.m., Kevin lined up all three Megabucks symbols for a $15,491.103 payday, KTVU reported.
It was Nevada’s largest slot machine jackpot in eight years, KNRV reported.
“It was certainly a Christmas Eve to remember,” a spokesperson from Boyd Gaming, which owns the Suncoast Hotel & Casino, told Fox News. “We’re excited and honored we could play a part in this historic holiday jackpot at the Suncoast.”
