ORLANDO, Fla. — A suspect who reportedly shot and killed three people including a child was fatally shot by police in Orlando, Florida, early Sunday, police say.
In a news release, the Orlando Police Department said officers were called out to a house in the 600 block of Grand Street just before 2:30 a.m. for a domestic violence incident. When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly heard gunshots inside the house.
The suspect came out of the house and reportedly opened fire at officers, according to WFTV. Orlando police Chief Eric Smith said officers fired back at the suspect. The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Investigators made their way through the house and found three victims, including two adults and a child, the news outlet reported.
The two adults were pronounced dead at the scene, according to WFTV. The child was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead.
The identities of the victims, suspects, and officers involved in the shooting have not yet been released, according to The Associated Press. The age of the child has also not been disclosed.
The two officers involved in the incident were not injured and were put on paid administrative leave which is protocol following officer-involved shootings, police say. Investigations will be completed by the FDLE, the Florida State Attorney’s Office, and the police department internally.
