CVS: CVS is trying to fill 50,000 full-time, part-time and temporary positions across Florida. Open positions include store associates, pharmacy technicians, customer service reps and shift managers. Click here to find job openings.

Domino’s: Domino’s is hiring both full-time and part-time workers, according to a press release. Click here if you’re interested in applying for a position. “While many local, state, and federal rules are closing dine-in restaurants, the opportunity to keep feeding our neighbors through delivery and carryout means that a small sense of normalcy is still available to everyone,” said Richard Allison, Domino’s chief executive officer. “Our corporate and franchise stores want to make sure they’re not only feeding people, but also providing opportunity to those looking for work at this time, especially those in the heavily-impacted restaurant industry.”

Walmart: The nation’s largest retailer said in a press release that it plans to hire 150,000 new associates through the end of May to work in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers. • Feeding Tampa Bay has turned its Mobile Pantry free grocery program into a drive-thru model to eliminate crowds. To help, you can donate money or donate your time by creating food baskets or assisting in the warehouse. The minimum age for volunteers is 16. • A number of vendors and restaurants are giving proceeds to local food banks. Visit Tampa Bay’s #TourismStrong Culinary Journal Bundle donates 100% of the proceeds from its $20 package of two books (Tampa’s Table and Tampa with a Twist). • Metropolitan Ministries is providing essential services at 25 locations. It is also handing out food boxes and hygiene kits via drive up service. The most needed items, if you’d like to donate, are: cereal, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meats, beans and peanut butter. Other urgent needs include diapers, baby formula, baby food, temporal thermometers and any hygiene items. The donation drive through is open 8am – 4:30pm M – Sa at 2101 N. Florida Avenue in Tampa. • The Daystar Life Center in St. Petersburg needs donations of food and personal care items to help the homeless and unemployed. The center also needs volunteers. Go to daystarlife.com for details.
• The Salvation Army is running its regular food pantry operations and is also assisting people with rent and shelter. There are weekly drive through food distributions on Wednesdays in Clearwater and a daily food pantry in St. Petersburg, M – F. On Thursdays, there is an additional drive through food pantry in St. Petersburg. Visit salvationarmyflorida.org for details.
• Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has compiled a list of all needs submitted by nonprofits in the area at cftampabay.org/nonprofitneedslist.
• A pet food pantry has been formed, accepting donations of new and sealed dog food, cat food and cat litter. The pantry is open for anyone in need, no questions asked. It’s open for pick up and donations from 8am-9pm daily at Grassroots Kava House, 957 Central Ave. If you’d like to make donations via Shipt or InstaCart should just add a delivery note to “Deliver to Pet Food Pantry.” Any overflow items will go to Pet Pal Animal Shelter and the SPCA.
• Tampa General Hospital needs volunteers who can create homemade cloth masks. Their goal is to provide 10,000 masks to their team members. All mask donations need to feature a double layer of unused machine washable cotton. You can find full guidelines and step by step instructions from the CDC here. The hospital has a drop off location at 1 David Blvd. in Tampa. Drop your donation by pulling into the valet are from 9a – 11a Wednesdays and 11a – 1p Fridays.
• If you can sew, then the staff at Morton Plant Hospital needs your help. A sewing room has been set up, to CDC standards, at Largo’s Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical and Plumbing. Volunteers are needed to iron and cut fabric, as well as sew masks. For details, call 727-350-1333 or go to performanceac.com.
• Joann.com/make-to-give-response has online tutorials, videos and patterns to help make masks, as well.
• Mask Project Tampa Bay is collecting donations of materials and supplies, including hand sanitizer, wipes and gloves, to donate to health care workers. Go to the Mask Project Tampa Bay page on Facebook to help.
• OneBlood has put out a call for blood donors. Visit OneBlood.org for details.
• St. Pete Rising is pairing up local restaurants with hospitals to provide daily meals for health care workers. Go to stpeterising.com/coronavirus-donate to either donate or else to sign up to receive donations for staff.
• The dessert bar Swah-Rey in downtown St. Pete is delivering boxes of mini cupcakes to health care workers. Go to swah-rey.com for details.
• Popical, the gourmet popcorn store in Clearwater, is delivering bags of popcorn and caramel corn to staff and nurses at nearby nursing homes. To order popcorn to be delivered, call 727-744-4191 or email popical@icloud.com.
• You can still buy local. The St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market is doing a drive-through service. Guests can order directly from their farm of choice, linked on saturdaymorningmarket.com, then pick up the order from 9a – 12noon Saturdays in the Al Lang Stadium parking lot.
• Check out keepsaintpetersburglocal.org and buylocaltampabay.com to find local Tampa Bay establishments that are offering online sales, shipping and curbside pick up.
• Oasis Senior Advisors launched a new program called “Cards for Seniors” which provides cards for loved ones in Senior living communities. Since March, Oasis has delivered over 10,000 cards!
