Mike Calta grew up in NY, on the mean streets of Staten Island. His last job before getting into radio was a fork lift driver in Bayonne, NJ. That sucked. So he packed his bags and moved to Florida. He went to St. Leo College where he spent enough time to earn a .7 GPA and became a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
In his spare time Mike likes to take naps, high five midgets and take naps. His heroes are Frank Sinatra, Jack Nicholson, Bob Lassiter, and Little Jimmy Norton. His favorite guests are Dr. Conley, Jay Mohr, David Wells, and Big and Rich.
Mike Calta has learned two great life lessons in his years and would like to share them with you:
- "If someone is bothering you, you have to hit them right away, cause if you don't they will keep coming back." - Dad, 1997
- "Don't be a fool because I'm a fool...be a fool because you're a fool." - A homeless guy, 1979
