Capt. Bill hosts Hooked on Fishing on Brighthouse networks Catch 47 (Thursday and Sunday at 7pm; Monday and Friday at 11am). Visit Capt. Bill at www.billmiller.com
Snook fishing in Tampa Bay and Gulf passes is very good for big breeder snook reports Capt. Chad Manning. Outgoing tide is a good snook catching tide and Manning recommends big threadfin herring for bait. The bigger the better. Snook season is closed so it is catch and release only.

Red snapper are all over the hard bottom ledges in 80-100 feet. Grouper seem to have moved out according to Capt. Travis Palladino. Fishing 200-250 feet of water, Palladino and crew limited out on big grouper, including an 87 pound Warsaw grouper and a 43 pound true black grouper.

Scallop season opens July 1 and the grass flats off Homosassa, historically, are a hot spot. Fishermen in 3 to 6 feet of water of the St. Martin Keys have reported seeing plenty of the tasty shellfish scooting along the bottom. The daily limit is 2 gallons of whole scallops or one pint of scallop meat per person. No more than 10 gallons of whole scallops or ˝ gallon of scallop meat may be possessed on any vessel at one time.. Scallops may only be harvested north of the Pasco/Hernando County line. Fishing licenses are required unless you are exempt by state laws.
